The spacious lodge at Big Loop can accommodate one large group of
15 or two small groups. A convenient kitchen, cozy common areas, and
comfortable bedrooms make the lodge your home away from home. Linens are
provided. If you prefer to dine out, there are excellent family restaurants in
nearby Olean or Portville on the New York side or historic Eldred on the
Pennsylvania side of the border. |

From Buffalo/Jamestown Area... East on I-86 (A.K.A. NY
17 or the Southern Tier Express way) Go to Olean, NY Take NY 16 south out of
Olean Turn left on Barnum Road which is 2.6 mi from the south end of the bridge
over the Allegheny River. Go 4.8 mi on Barnum Rd to Artline Road and turn left.
(You are now in PA) The Big Loop will be on the right, 1.3 mi after turning
onto Artline Rd. From Rochester Area... I-390 South to the
second Dansville exit (NY 36 south) NY 36 south through Arkport to I-86 (A.K.A.
NY 17 or the Southern Tier Express way) at Hornell. Go west on I-86 to NY 305
at Cuba. Go South on 305 to Portville. Turn left at the light. 305 and 417 will
run together for about 0.7 mi then 305 turns off to the right. Stay on 305 for
about 0.5 mi then turn right on West River road. Go across the bridge then turn
left. The Big Loop will be on the left, about 3.25 mi after turning onto West
River. For those that read the directions above and noticed that Big Loop is on
Artline Road, West River road becomes Artline road when you cross into PA.
